This female quick connect differs from our other 14-16 Quick Connect as it offers heat shrink protection for your wire. We consider heat shrink protection CRUCIAL on boats, especially in the harsh saltwater environment. In addition to protection from the elements, heat shrink also creates a more secure attachment of the wire to the quick connect terminal. The 14-16 AWG quick connect also comes in handy when trying to connect two smaller wires (e.g. 18AWG) to one terminal on the back of a rocker switch.
