They’re often used together in place of butt connectors since they allows wires to be connected/disconnected without any cutting. This male quick connect differs from our other 10-12 Male Quick Connect as it offers heat shrink protection for your wire. We consider heat shrink protection CRUCIAL on boats, especially in the harsh saltwater environment. In addition to protection from the elements, heat shrink also creates a more secure attachment of the wire to the quick connect terminal.
